SEO SCAM SITES - DO NOT GIVE THEM $$

This entry is part 1 of 3 in the series SEO Scam Drama

usaseopros.com

firstwebsearch.com

These people will call you from a link they grab online or when you just put up your site.  They will continue to call and call as new sales people are hired, they comb the internet and prey upon people’s dreams and aspirations.  They will tell you your site does not come up, they will tell you they can get you on the first page of the search engine under competitive listings such as “Make Money Online”

BEWARE OF FRAUD! They have taken people I know for amounts of $1500-$4000 with false promises and no refunds.  They are a Nevada Corporation which basically makes it impossible to penetrate the shield of the corporation and go after them for your losses.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR TIME, HANG UP ON THEM, BE RUDE, TELL THEM TO GO FLY A KITE AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO SUCKER YOU INTO THEIR DEMO THAT MAKES IT APPEAR LIKE YOU CAN TRUST THEM YOU CANNOT!!!!

High Winds Cost Adamsville Family Thousands

Winds from the storm took our power out for two days. We were lucky. Our next door neighbor and friend - also Vickies employer suffered great losses. These losses will cost Vickie a month or two of work lost to the wind ..

The big storm may have caused a lot of damage throughout the area, but for one Adamsville family, it’s costing them much more.

Doug and Betty Yeary have been running the 5th largest apple orchard in all of Ohio, Yeary Apple Orchard, for 46 years now, and after all that time Sunday’s storm came as a shock.

“We’ve had many freezes. We’ve had two severe hails. We’ve never had a wind storm in mid September to do any kind of devastation of this magnitude,” says Doug Yeary of Yeary’s Orchard.

At least 50 percent of their crop fell to the ground, right before it fully matured, and just weeks before harvest time. The Yeary’s were forced to hire help to pick the apples from the ground so they could salvage the good fruit.

“The fact now that it’s worth ten cents instead of sixty cents. All your money is into it. All the plans. The buyers are already lined up, expecting to get it. We can’t fulfill contracts,” says Yeary.

All together, the Yeary’s say they lost around $250,000 worth of apples. So far, about one percent of the crop has been salvaged.

Top 3 Self Employment Lessons I Wish I Learned Sooner

More and more people are looking for ways to earn extra income today; as living expenses rise and budgets are stretched thin.  Many choose self-employment and home business ventures as alternatives to the corporate grind. Some enjoy newfound freedoms and control that a successful home-based business delivers while others try and fail.  A worse fate still is the many great small business ideas that are dreamed of yet never explored.

Several years ago, I realized I was in financial trouble and going downhill quickly.  I was over my head in debt and unable to afford moving out of the severely depressed economic area where I lived.  As a young, single mother, I soon realized it was costing me around $12 a day, after travel expenses and babysitting fees, to work the minimum wage jobs in the local area.  I was headed deeper in debt doing what everyone had always told me was the “right” thing to do: get a job and work hard every day for someone else!

I sat at my kitchen table with my weekly paycheck, calculator and notebook and saw the numbers before me in black and white. The “right” thing wasn’t working; slaving at the local burger joint waiting for a better job to open up was not going to fix the problem.  I decided to learn more about self-employment.  It was a turning point that brought me down the path to where I am today.

I gave you a little about my background to demonstrate I know where many of you are coming from. Many others are experiencing the same financial dilemma of dead-end jobs and growing debt today that I experienced then.

Today, I’m a marketing consultant for a new online home-based business operating on a shoestring budget. I researched many online businesses before settling in on this one.

With all of that said, I encourage you to allow yourself to explore your home-based business dreams. I would, however, offer you some key elements to consider that I learned the hard way.

1. Don’t try to learn everything you need to know before you decide to begin.  While research and knowledge are important to success, too much will overwhelm you and paralyze you with information overload.

2. Don’t think there is a magic program for sale out there that produces overnight wealth without putting in some serious effort.

3. Don’t think that you can figure it all out and manage it all on your own! BIG no no. A mentor and team are necessary for your learning process and long term business survival.

Number three is key.  Had I understood that one and found a mentor early on, it would have saved me from learning the first two lessons the hard way.  The hard way is almost always painful and expensive!

Finding a good mentor and a support team you trust is very challenging and time-consuming.  Many with the “work at home” bug avoid dependence of a support system and struggle blindly through the dark days of their small business startups.  This is an ego problem that must be overcome.  It is okay to need a little help learning the ropes.

Another lesson I learned that doesn’t conform to what we are taught is that the best mentors are not friends and family, no matter how successful they may be.  Nor will great mentors be free.  A good mentor is not there to make you feel good about yourself, be your buddy or do the job for you.  A true mentor assumes a great responsibility of delivering honesty and guidance through their own expertise.  Friends, family and free mentoring are often misguided by emotion and personal motives.

When considering self-employment, factor in the costs of a good coach who will take a personal approach to understanding your resources and business development goals. This is the secret weapon of the most highly successful home-based business entrepreneurs. Follow this advice and you are one step closer to your own success.

Vaccinations: Parents’ Informed Choice

To my friends and family that know how I feel about vaccinations you will be happy to hear I have finally learned how to deal with the school district about this matter in time for enrollment.

After many hours of research I found an article that is very well written on the subject that I decided to share. Below is a intro for the article, to continue reading click the “more” link after the excerpt.

Vaccinations: Parents’ Informed Choice

By Lynne Born

Because the misinformation surrounding vaccination is so extensive, many parents don’t even question whether or not they should vaccinate their child, overlooking one of the most important decisions a parent can make. Since medical authorities say vaccination is safe, most parents simply go ahead with vaccination, completely unaware of the potential dangers and unable to recognize a serious reaction when it does occur.

And since government health departments and school authorities give the impression that vaccination is mandated for every child in the United States, most parents believe they are legally required to vaccinate their child. But in all 50 states, you are free to decline vaccination entirely, or adopt a partial vaccination schedule, an important decision about the health and welfare of your child.

Apples, Kindergarten and Goats .. Oh my!

I’ve spent the most part of this week organizing my life. From household chores to business plans to shopping lists. Must be the time of year or change of seasons. It’s similar to spring cleaning only instead of cleaning out the closets, I started cleaning out the notebooks. I would guess I am over half way done with the task. It is refreshing to see these past projects that were neglected or forgotten, ideas and plans that were never implemented and bits and pieces of information from the past that I wasn’t sure how to use then, and see the opportunities of it now.

While I have been trying to get myself revamped my girlfriend Vic is back to work at the apple orchards. She takes pride in her work and genuinely loves the family she works for. They put her in charge of a Mexican crew this year. My step daughter Jean is also working there now, she started just a couple days ago and seems to fit right in at the barn.

It is a great apple crop this year in South Eastern Ohio. There was much concern this spring with the heavy rains. Then as they ripened there was not quite enough rain - but all worked out and it looks like the orchards will keep Vic in work all winter. Such a blessing after the short 3 month season of work last year with the bad crops.

So with Vic back to work and my boy about to start kindergarten this week …I will have all day to work without much interruption. I am looking forward to it. It will be the first time in 15 years that I do not have a young child at home all day! WOOOOOOOOT!!!

Little D is so excited to be going to school. I still have to get him enrolled Tuesday morning and take him shopping. Yes I procrastinated up till the very last day. I really wanted to home-school him. I feel the government brainwashing education system is a joke. But he really wants to go and I really need to work more hours. I decided at the last moment to enroll him in public sheep herding .. I mean public school system and try a year or so of it and see how he does. I am sure he will do just fine .. it’s me that has the problem with it.

My youngest step daughter will be 18 next month. She flew the coop this summer but I look for her to return to the nest soon as real life bites her in the rear end. I worry about her, but I can’t say that I miss her. Love her yes, want to listen to her teenage drama .. no.

Well, that’s life on the Do Duh Ranch today.

Peace!

P.S.

My mower is still broken so I am considering buying a goat. Until next time …
