My thoughts on this …Polygamy’s Children Case

Over 400 children removed from their homes, their family, and their way of life. 400 children removed because of an “anonymous” report by ONE child.

What the heck makes one or two officials of one system think they have the right to dictate the lifestyle choices of another system?

I find it hard to believe that 400 children are being abused  in this community. Many of these family members have been in this community lifestyle for generations. They CHOOSE to keep the lifestyle going. No one is forcing any of these families to be there.

Polygamy is centuries old and accepted in many countries.

So the way they live seems weird to most of us … but that is no reason to declare war against them and their way of life.

Let’s take a SERIOUS look at this … if we tolerate this what comes next?

  • Will CPS take all the Amish kids because they  don’t have running water in their homes?
  • Will CPS take all the Jewish children because of a few who  participate in Karparot ?
  • Will CPS take children of Shamatic religions when they are forced to fast?
  • Will CPS  seek out and remove children of Jainist Digambaras (spelling?) because some children see the monks naked?
  • Will CPS  take all the Muslim daughters because a few are forced to wear a vial over the face?
  • Will CPS take all the Jehovah’s Witnesses children because of the few who are not allowed to have blood transfusions .. just incase they might need one?
  • Will CPS take the children of Hindus because a few Hindu children have their body pierced?
  • Will CPS take all the children of gays and lesbian relationships so that they might not be exposed to same sex relationships?
  • How bout vegetarians kids? - CPS better take those kids too, they might need a hamburger.

Do you see what I am saying here? CPS SHOULD NOT have this control. How did it come to this?
