Family updates

Rayboy is in Columbus now in a place called Hittle House. He is still in the “system”.

Jr will be starting public school on Jan. 6th.  I will be enrolling him today, the first day back after winter break. They said he can start tomorrow if all our paperwork is in order.

Lil D is doing fine. He is getting tall fast. He is doing very well in kindergarten.

We haven’t heard from my mom and her family this year. We miss the kids but are not going to stalk them. They know how to find us.

Grandpa has a birthday tomorrow the 6th and will be 88 years old. Pappy is spending the winter at the Florida home and plans to come back up to the Akron area in April. (The kids’s great-grandfather.)

Vickie is off work, the season at the orchards is over. Her, her kids and grandkids are all doing well.  Rosie is staying with her oldest sister for a short spell to try and get on her feet while her boyfriend finishes school.

I rented the old house out to Uncle Bill - (Lil D’s dad) but he failed to make the first rent payment. Not quite sure what to do about that.

For family first - I am getting rid of my fish accessories and tanks very soon. We moved them to the barn this weekend, get ahold of me if you want any of them before I clean them up and sell or give them away.

Love you all.

Twitter Spam May Be Cause of Higher Unemployment Rates

Ok,yea I just made that up .. but it wouldn’t surprise me. I dropped using Twitter for now. Until they figure out how to handle the system I don’t have time to police all the adds, invites and conversations.

How “web 2.0″ is your boss?

If you were late for work and said, “Sorry boss, I had a bad case of twitter spam this morning.”

Would he or she nod with understanding or ask you need to see a doctor?

Twitter spam .. haha.. good with toast?

Quick Update for the New Year

Happy Holiday Season everyone. It’s a new year already. My mom was right, time moves faster the older you get. This year flew by. This week though has been rather slow moving.

It has been a crazy week of house arranging. Moving to the new house was one chore, getting the place cleaned and livable was another, then with my son moving back home - there has been much to do around the house.

Best time of the year for inside work. Although the weather has been unexpectedly warm for Ohio this time of year. I still rather be inside cleaning walls and moving furniture then outside in these mild winter temperatures.

I’m glad our farm is secluded. The yard just looks terrible. Not only did it need cutting one more time this year, but the rain turned it into mush and the long brown grass, dead leaves and general unkept look of it all is quite depressing. I learned much about caring for such a large yard over the past couple of years but it is an ongoing learning processes and when you mess up - you have to look at it as we are now.

I look forward to Spring to awaken the dead yard. I can’t wait for the daffodils to bloom. That has to be one of the best annuals on the farm. Last year I found over 20 varieties.

The yard is not the only thing that needs attention. I’ve been neglecting my spirituality sense moving into the new house. There has been more work, more people to care for, and less privacy. I need total privacy to meditate, pray and study. My wife takes it personal when I request privacy and I don’t know how to change her opinion so I try to sneak in a few moments now and again usually in the bathroom. But it isn’t quite the same as the long hours I had to myself at the old house - alone with my thoughts.

This is what most people contend with, so it is time for me to grow up and figure out some ways to overcome so not to let my spirituality dwindle. With that said, it is 5 am and everyone is sleeping - I am finished with all I can do tonight and am going to wrap up with 20 minutes of Kundalini before sleep.

The Four Freedoms

In the future days . . . we look forward to a world
founded upon four essential human freedoms.

The first is freedom of speech and expression . . .
The second is freedom to worship God in [one's] own way . . .
The third is freedom from want . . .
The fourth is freedom from fear . . .

This is no vision of a distant millennium. It is a definite basis
for a kind of world attainable in our own time and generation.

Twas the night before Christmas …

Nothing cute or fancy tonight. I’m really tired.?? I got caught out in a nasty ice storm last night. It was horrifying. Took me over 2 hours to make it home from town just 20 miles away. Was pretty stupid of me to go out, but Santa needed a hand finding a train for Lil’ D. To bad Santa couldn’t give me a lift home in his sleigh. I about wiped out a couple of times.

Dad stopped by today and dropped off games for the kids and a battery charger for the family.

Everyone else is in bed. I’m trying to stay up awaiting dad to call to let me know he made it home ok. He drove the van down and the brakes are not so good. I’m hoping the temperatures stay above freezing until he makes it back up to his place.

Well, I thought I would say Merry Christmas to everyone. Enjoy the family, friends and food. Be safe and thankful for every blessing.

SOCIAL SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (SSBG) INCREASE!

SSBG funds ” child abuse prevention”, adoption services, day care, foster care, child protection, independent and transitional living, and residential services for children and youth, among other things.

We think it would be GREAT if these Frankenstein’s Monster agencies dealing with kidnapping and adopting out children for the funding streams were thrown on the trash heap.  With the ever-deepening recession heading into DEPRESSION, it is time to abandon these completely failed Socialist programs that have been destroying the American Family.

There will plenty of people calling in with a financial stake in continuing this system, and they would just as soon we didn’t know about it or voice our opposition.

ACTION NEEDED:

Call your members of Congress on and urge them to completely cut the child kidnapping and adoption funding OUT of the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) as part of the economic recovery package!

Call U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121, ask for your member’s office and say:

*Congress must CUT SSBG funding as part of a REAL economic recovery package.  Funding for CPS, institutions, and adoptions for the BONUS money must STOP.

*SSBG provides funding to many organizations that are committing  FRAUD against the government and CRIMES against Americans by kidnapping children, institutionalizing, drugging them, or adopting them out for the Federal Funding.

*There is NO accountability from these organizations, and they have NEVER met the requirements to receive funding in 34 years.

*CUT the funding for CPS and adoptions!

Call your members of Congress to help children and families be free of these destructive, insolent, officious, unconstitutional, unaccountable, fraudulent, malfeasant, megalomaniac “social services”!

Fast action needed- Please circulate this widely

Mind Over Money - Law of Attraction Success Story

Just two short months ago I was at the bottom of the barrel scraping funds from the last of my stack of maxed out credit cards. My savings account was drained with nothing on the horizon. I lost my steady paying client last month and Vic’s income ran out with her daughter turning of age in Sept. With the last bit of hope and strength I decided not to try more business ideas or pushing to work harder - but to try and change my mindset about money.

I’ve been learning and trying to apply the principles of the Law of Attraction for a couple years. Learning about energy and positive thinking have been beneficial but the creation of abundance was not yet mastered.

Then last month I found a book called “Creating Money - Keys to Abundance” by Sanaya Roman & Duane Packer. Now I have seen many books with the same theme. I have a whole library of Law of Attraction books but this one had an extraordinarily awesome Amazon rating. So I grabbed a copy and started readying on it as soon as it arrived.

I’m a slow reader with information and am only on chapter three but this book has for real. It covers some details that are specific to money that the Law of Attraction books I have read in the past have not covered.

To give one example. According to most Law of Attraction themed books putting extreme effort into creating positive thoughts about what I DO want to come about should start the process to allow the universe to bring it to me. Well, it don’t work quite like that - especially with money and all the programming we have about money and how to get it. In the first couple of chapters the book tells how to create emotion for what you want the money to do for you. It isn’t about a new car, it is about safe reliable transportation. It isn’t about increasing your income as much as it is about having security or relief from stress of making the bills each month.

Those are just a couple of examples but combined with the other information and exorcises I am greatly impressed at the blessings on the farm this month.

Sold my first piece of property this month and rented one of my houses. One step closer to being a real estate guru someday!

There was some profit from the sale of the other property, enough to get caught up. I made sure all the utilities were paid off, then paid credit card balances off, paid off a small personal loan, property taxes, insurance and child support will be paid off Monday. That is a great feeling. This will still leave us enough to buy some Christmas dinner and some gifts for the kids and grandchildren.

Vic got a a nice final check from work and a Christmas bonus from her boss.

I was blessed with a $900 commission in time to pay the mortgage this month from my internet marketing home business, see my home biz blog for details http://www.TicketToBigWealth.com .

Had a very good streak selling some misc. items and books. A few on Amazon, a couple of things on eBay and a couple of items over Craigslist. All were problem free sales. Some of the quickest - easiest sales I ever made actually.

This all rolled together quickly in under 2 weeks. We had gotten so far into the broke zone we were considering moving to a more affordable home in town somewhere and leaving our dream farm to survive .. and then this. It has secured us well into Spring and given us some breathing room to focus on family and health.

I’m still reading on the book - but there is no doubt in my mind that it is worth it to read this book. My blessings are many this month. With the income and my son coming home - it has truly been a great month.

Sending love and good wishes to all.

My Favorite Game - Bejeweled Twist

I’ve been a fan of the Bejeweled series sense the first game release back in 2000 or 2001. (I can’t quite remember). It’s a simple to play game that can be very addicting. Bejeweled Twist is the third generation of the POPCAP puzzle game.

Here game play revolves around rotating groups of four gems to form rows of matching gems. The more matches you make in a row the more bonus points you can earn. There is more strategy in the Twist version, yet it retains its simple to play charm that even my 6 year old loves it.

There are several bonus features to work for and many different types of game play so that you are bound to find hours of entertainment for children and parents alike.

You can download a demo and learn more about the game from the developers at:
